I want to share with the local Kansas farming community a picture taken from this year wheat harvest that symbolizes the struggles and triumphs of farmers. This picture was the last load of a hard fought harvest to be in before the rains started to come the week of June 25th.
The farm location is east of Pittsburg, Kansas and the farmer is Darrel VanBecelaere. The storms were coming down from the north and we had just a few more rounds to make before we would be finished for the season. Lightning, thunder and rain were all around us, and while others were stopped for the night, God was giving us just a few more minutes to finish out. Our motto that day was “keep goin till we can’t.”
